EAST SIDE | primary bath

01. THE CONCEPT

Calling on inspiration from the French countryside and the California coast, this reimagined primary bath radiates effortless elegance and feels like a cozy retreat. It’s layered with rich textures, organic materials, and soft neutrals that feel both inviting and stylish. With a nod to old-world charm, it remains balanced with modern elements and personalized touches.

02. the space

Situated on a lush property overlooking the rolling hills, this home had beautiful bones but wasn’t living up to its full potential. While keeping all external walls, we overhauled the interior space to create intentional zones and an easy flow. The elimination of unnecessary corners and dead space allowed us to add everything we wanted: a gorgeous double shower, sauna, double vanity, marble bathtub, and plenty of storage — all while adding even more windows for maximum natural light and garden views.

03. the materials

With influence spanning multiple continents, we wanted this primary bath to remain rooted in an effortless elegance. Maintaining a neutral color palette allowed for the intentional layering, textural elements, and thoughtful details to shine through. While each design choice was carefully thought out, imperfection was key here: natural limestone pavers of mixed sizes and orientations, a slight distressing on the sconces, zellige tiling in the shower, and the natural woven fibers of the mirror all contributed to the organic feeling reminiscent of European interiors. Balancing the old-world charm with modern elements like the sleek brass accessories and bold Calacatta Viola marble, we were able to create an environment that feels fresh, warm, and inviting.
